MONOSCENES – Workshop with Amy Moule (Australia)

presented by Steife Brise-Impro-Academy

Sunday, 14th of January, 2018
from 10.30 a.m. till 5.30 p.m. (6 hours, including an hour of lunch-break)
Price: 115 euros

In this workshop we will be exploring ways to approach monoscenes and what skills and stage craft are needed to perform a scene which may last anywhere from 10 to 50 minutes. We will be looking to explore the environment as a character and therefore be using basic props/set pieces etc. to do so. The workshop will also be focusing on maintaining a character for a selected amount of time, the importance of entries/exits, relating to an environment/space, avoiding ‘offer soup’, strong choices and bold offers, monoscenes across time – and wrapping it altogether.

If you book both workshops – the workshop “PUPPETS!“ (Friday evening and Saturday) and the workshop „MONOSCENES“ (Sunday) – it will cost you only 250 euros.

About Amy Moule

As a Puppeteer and Improviser, Amy is eager to work with others to combine these two passions. There is such joy to be found in watching ordinary bits and pieces being transformed into characters and world’s and stories being created in front of your very eyes. Like mask work, working with puppets allows performers create a character which extends beyond their usual go-to character’s and beyond their human form.
